Job description

About the Role

Barons Eden’s Hiddenwell Destination Spa Hotels is hiring a Head of Talent, Culture and Employer Brand in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire. This is a senior people leadership role focused on building a strong employee experience, a compelling employer reputation, and a culture that reflects the standards of the guest experience.

The business is expanding with new luxury hospitality destinations across the UK, and this role will help shape how talent is attracted, engaged, developed, and retained as the portfolio grows. Reporting to the Chief People Officer / People Director, you will own the strategy for talent, culture, and employer brand across the group.

This opportunity goes beyond recruitment. It combines workforce planning, attraction strategy, employee experience, cultural alignment, and support for new hotel openings. The aim is to position Hiddenwell as one of the most desirable hospitality employers in the UK.

What You Will Do

  • Design and deliver a talent acquisition approach that supports business growth and future expansion.
  • Oversee end-to-end hiring for operational, management, and support centre roles.
  • Create long-term talent pipelines for existing and planned openings.
  • Cut dependency on agencies by using smarter sourcing methods and recruitment marketing.
  • Work with operational leaders to forecast hiring needs and support growth plans.
  • Define and promote the employer value proposition.
  • Strengthen Hiddenwell’s position as a preferred hospitality employer.
  • Build recruitment campaigns, social content, and other attraction initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with hospitality networks, education providers, and industry organisations.
  • Support a colleague experience that reflects the company’s “100% Hospitality” commitment.
  • Lead engagement, belonging, and culture-alignment activity across the employee journey.
  • Embed company values into the full colleague lifecycle.
  • Improve retention, advocacy, and overall employee experience.
  • Lead recruitment and mobilisation activity for new hotel openings.
  • Build scalable hiring plans for rapid expansion.
  • Coordinate assessment activity, onboarding, and launch readiness for opening teams.
  • Manage and develop the Talent & Recruitment team.
  • Set KPIs, track performance, and provide insight to senior leadership.
  • Influence business decisions using people data and commercial judgement.

What We’re Looking For

You should be a confident talent or people leader who works well in fast-moving, multi-site environments and enjoys building systems and culture from the ground up.

  • Strong experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, employer branding, or talent and culture leadership.
  • Background in hospitality, leisure, retail, or another high-volume multi-site business.
  • Proven involvement in major growth projects, mobilisation work, or new site launches.
  • Solid understanding of employer branding, candidate attraction, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing ability.
  • Commercial thinking and confidence using data to guide decisions.
  • A genuine interest in creating outstanding colleague experiences.

Working Pattern

  • Working days: Monday to Friday.
  • 40 hours per week.

  • 33 days of annual leave, including bank holidays.
  • Travel expenses covered.
  • Complimentary spa day on work anniversaries at any company spa.
  • Access to coffee, tea, and snacks in the kitchen.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • 30% discount on overnight stays and spa days.
  • Discounts on food, drink, and retail across venues.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Free parking.
  • Refer-a-friend scheme.
