Head of Supply Chain Management

About the Role

We are collaborating with a global manufacturing company to recruit a Head of Supply Chain Management. This pivotal leadership position will have an immediate impact by enhancing operational efficiency and steering ongoing organizational transformation efforts. The role is based in Germany with some flexibility for location.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee production planning, inventory control, and logistics functions across multiple international sites.
• Manage and lead a team of approximately 30 employees located in Germany and abroad.
• Drive the transition towards a centralized, matrix-structured supply chain model.
• Establish and implement a Supply Chain Excellence function to standardize and elevate processes.
• Coordinate process alignment and performance improvements across all manufacturing locations.
• Lead initiatives on change management, transformation, and supply chain digitalization.
• Serve as a primary liaison to executive leadership, providing strategic input and updates.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience in supply chain management within manufacturing sectors.
• Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on expertise in production planning, inventory oversight, and logistics operations.
• Capability to balance strategic vision with practical, operational involvement.
• Proven success in managing change and organizational development programs.
• Analytical thinker with process-oriented and data-driven approach.
• Experience with digital tools and system implementations relevant to supply chain management.
• Fluent communication skills in both German and English are essential.
