Head of Supply Chain Management

About the Role

Fabheads Automation Pvt Ltd, a key player in Aerospace & Advanced Composite Manufacturing based in Bengaluru, is searching for a seasoned Head of Supply Chain Management. This leadership position involves steering the comprehensive supply chain operations to support fast-paced growth in aerospace composite technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Craft and implement supply chain strategies that align with organizational expansion and aerospace project needs.
• Oversee procurement, planning, logistics, warehousing, and supplier development to ensure seamless operations.
• Set and track KPIs targeting enhanced delivery, optimized inventory, and cost efficiency.
• Lead efforts in digital innovation and process improvement within the supply chain.
• Manage Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand forecasting, and material planning processes to guarantee uninterrupted materials availability including aerospace-grade carbon fiber prepregs, honeycomb cores, resin systems, adhesives, metallic inserts, and hardware.
• Support production timelines and critical customer programs anticipating and mitigating risks.
• Formulate procurement approaches and cultivate partnerships with global aerospace-certified suppliers, negotiating contracts and securing long-term supply agreements.
• Enhance supplier performance concerning quality, timeliness, pricing, and responsiveness.
• Guarantee compliance with AS9100 standards, customer-specific regulations, and relevant aerospace quality norms; collaborate with Quality teams on audits and corrective action plans.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through strategies such as dual sourcing, inventory safety stock, and business continuity planning.
• Administer domestic & international logistics, maintain inventory traceability and material shelf-life standards, and lead warehouse operations to ensure operational excellence.
• Recruit, coach, and grow a high-functioning supply chain team fostering accountability, cooperation, and continuous progress.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Operations; MBA or other advanced qualifications preferred.
• Professional certifications like CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, or Lean Six Sigma add significant value.
• Minimum 15 years of escalating experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or Operations within Aerospace, Defense, Aviation, Advanced Manufacturing, or Composite Materials sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise collaborating with aerospace OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and managing globally dispersed supply chains.
• Familiarity with aerospace composites manufacturing, including carbon fiber, prepreg materials, resin systems, and honeycomb structures.
• Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficient in demand planning, inventory control, supplier development, and aerospace quality, as well as regulatory standards.
