Job description
Company Overview
Hyprwork is a rapidly expanding operator that develops and scales direct-to-consumer brands within the health and wellness industry. Our primary brand, Rejuvacare, demonstrated the viability of our model with products such as RejuvaKnee, which help adults regain mobility and reduce pain. Trusted by over 400,000 customers, these products primarily ship to the United States. In the past year, we have grown twelvefold to nearly 150 employees spread across more than 15 countries. We operate as a remote-first and asynchronous-first organization with a strong culture of accountability.
Role Overview
The entire physical product operation runs via OEM manufacturers in China with cross-border fulfillment into the U.S., managing approximately 100,000 units monthly, about 20 SKUs across three categories, and expanding rapidly as new brands launch. We are seeking a Head of Supply Chain to fully own this function end-to-end.
You will be responsible for building and managing the execution team located in China remotely. This includes recruiting and developing personnel involved in sourcing, quality control, and factory coordination. You will operate within overlapping time zones that connect Chinese working hours and the U.S. leadership schedule, setting high standards for team performance. While delegating, you should also engage directly with suppliers and factories for negotiations and quality assurance when necessary.
This directorship entails designing the supply chain architecture, managing cost structures, establishing demand planning processes, enforcing dual sourcing policies, and completing the quality feedback loop with factories. Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with company founders on product launches, you will be a key leader in scaling the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategy, overseeing the entire process from factory floor to customer delivery, including supplier networks, warehouse and third-party logistics locations in southern China, carrier selection, and scaling strategies.
- Institute and maintain rigorous demand planning and sales & operations planning (S&OP) disciplines that align forecasts with sales trends, marketing campaigns, and product launches while managing inventory targets of six to eight weeks to balance availability and cash flow.
- Manage sourcing and supplier relations including qualification, negotiations on pricing, minimum order quantities, payment conditions, and lead times. Maintain policy-driven dual sourcing for high-demand products and monitor supplier performance through scorecards.
- Control logistics and cost structures by negotiating shipment expenses, optimizing routes across multiple carriers, and ensuring cost competitiveness while managing cross-border fulfillment for both direct-to-consumer and Amazon fulfillment channels.
- Oversee quality assurance and returns processes by collaborating with customer support to analyze defect patterns, engage factories to address issues systematically, and prevent recurrence through strategic system design.
- Recruit, organize, and lead the China execution team remotely, ensuring strong standards, accountability, and effective issue resolution without physical presence. Participate directly in supplier interactions and conduct periodic visits to China for audits, key negotiations, and relationship development.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing a China-based execution team remotely while based outside China, with the ability to both lead and handle supplier/factory issues hands-on.
- Strong operational understanding of Chinese suppliers and factories including price and MOQ negotiations, factory qualification, quality issue resolution, payment terms, lead times, freight forwarding economics, and risks of single sourcing.
- Proven ability to develop and elevate team members into owners capable of taking responsibility beyond task execution and fostering leadership.
- Located in a time zone that facilitates meaningful daily overlap with Chinese business hours and a U.S. collaboration window from 8am to 12pm EST — regions like Eastern Europe, Turkey, or the Middle East preferred but open to other suitable locations.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, necessary for leadership interactions, partner negotiations, and collaboration within a distributed global team.
- Ability to operate effectively in a remote-first and asynchronous work environment with disciplined documentation, proactive escalation, and outcome-focused accountability.
Employee Benefits
- Work fully remotely with comprehensive control over a crucial business function.
- Competitive pay structure along with paid time off and wellness stipends.
- Company-funded computer allowance granted after a tenure milestone.
- A monthly bonus scheme, birthday gift cards, and allowances for in-country meetups.
- Opportunities to attend leadership offsites and direct collaboration with founders.
- The primary daily live collaboration window is from 8am to 12pm EST, with asynchronous work otherwise.
