Position Overview
We are seeking a Head of Supply Chain Commodities Non-Food (m/w/d) for our European headquarters in Gersthofen. This position directly reports to the Supply Chain Director Europe and involves leadership of a specialized team managing procurement in non-food categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a focused two-person team managing non-food purchasing categories.
- Hold overall responsibility for cost control and reliable sourcing of non-food raw materials across Europe.
- Strategically advance the European supplier base across diverse sectors including energy, technical gases, logistics, warehousing, packaging materials, chemicals, and protective equipment.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, market reports, KPIs, and inventory effectively.
- Design and implement cost reduction and value creation initiatives.
- Establish and nurture long-term collaborations with strategic suppliers.
- Constantly monitor market trends to maintain competitiveness and supply security.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Supply Chain, Finance, Controlling, Quality, and Sustainability departments.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Contribute actively to the centralization of procurement activities and lean supply chain projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable EU regulations in procurement categories.
Candidate Profile
- University degree in business administration, food technology, agricultural sciences, or a related discipline.
- Several years of leadership experience in procurement or sales functions.
- Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in preparing pricing documentation and working with financial tools.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and excellent presentation capabilities.
- Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
