About the Role
Lovisa Pty Ltd is seeking a seasoned strategic technology leader to join their global IT division as the Head of Strategy & Delivery. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this critical leadership position is tasked with defining the IT strategic direction and ensuring effective execution of pivotal technology programs. The role acts as a bridge between long-term technology vision and day-to-day operational delivery, turning business goals into actionable plans with measurable success.
This leader collaborates closely with the CIO, Executive Team, and key business units to foster a culture of strategic planning, operational excellence, accountability, and ongoing enhancement within IT, supporting Lovisa's international expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of developing and continuously updating Lovisa's IT strategic plan, including multi-year technology roadmaps and yearly operational plans.
- Facilitate executive workshops and strategic planning sessions to keep technology priorities aligned with company goals.
- Convert strategic objectives into executable programs with clearly defined milestones, responsibilities, and success measures.
- Keep abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, competitive dynamics, and regulatory shifts to provide informed strategic insights and recommendations.
- Build and lead a high-performing Project Management Office (PMO) that ensures governance, transparency, and assurance across all strategic technology initiatives.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of enterprise projects, overseeing scope, budget, timeline, risk, resources, and stakeholder engagement.
- Deploy and standardize project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches throughout the organization.
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks proactively, removing obstacles and driving process improvements for project execution.
- Assist the CIO with managing technology procurement, commercial agreements, and collaborate with Finance to monitor IT financial performance and reporting.
- Ensure technology investments align with strategic objectives, tracking project outcomes and return on investment.
- Develop, mentor, and lead a talented team across strategy, program management, and delivery disciplines.
- Promote a collaborative, accountable, transparent culture emphasizing continuous improvement, reflecting Lovisa’s values.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology strategy, priorities, and organizational capabilities.
- Forge strong partnerships across business functions balancing priorities and driving outstanding results.
- Support organizational change management initiatives to enable successful tech adoption and business transformation.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker passionate about translating vision into actionable results. Experienced in leading complex technology portfolios and forging influential relationships with senior stakeholders, they thrive in dynamic, fast-evolving environments. Commercially savvy and delivery-driven, they balance executive-level strategic discussions with hands-on operational problem solving.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in strategy, management consulting, or senior program/portfolio delivery roles.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale, cross-functional technology programs from conception through execution.
- Experience establishing or heading a Project Management Office (PMO) or enterprise delivery organization.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Solid commercial and financial knowledge, including managing technology budgets and planning investments.
- Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
- Good understanding of software development and technology delivery processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication abilities, experienced in engaging with Executive and Board-level audiences.
- Background in managing technology vendors and commercial contracts is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills, and a detail-oriented mindset.
