Role Overview

The Risk Program Management Office operates at the junction of Operations, Go To Market, and Risk Compliance teams. This role focuses on helping users meet evolving compliance requirements within a complex regulatory environment by collaborating cross-functionally across Operations, Product, Engineering, GTM, and other teams.

The position involves expanding efforts into new markets, primarily in the Asia-Pacific region, managing high-impact initiatives characterized by fast pace and ambiguity. It entails building programs from scratch while integrating compliance, strategy, and execution at a global scale.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and lead a global team of Program Managers, fostering individual growth and career advancement.
• Develop and execute long-term strategy and vision for the team, monitoring progress against key performance metrics.
• Coach and mentor the team to promote excellence in program management and operational disciplines.
• Create a cohesive team culture across a distributed, multi-timezone workforce.

Program Management and Operations

• Manage comprehensive programs with a focus on launching and scaling in APAC.
• Ensure operational readiness by tracking milestones, identifying risks, and resolving dependencies efficiently.
• Operate confidently within high uncertainty, devising effective approaches proactively.
• Build scalable frameworks, operational playbooks, and consistent reporting mechanisms to support program complexity and growth.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the senior Risk PMO representative in global senior-level discussions, demonstrating sound judgment and accountability.
• Cooperate across Risk teams including Operations, Product, Engineering, and Strategy to align and drive outcomes.
• Establish partnerships across Legal, Finance, Treasury, Partnerships, and Product teams.
• Balance competing priorities with clarity of ownership and execution ownership from start to finish.
• Engage effectively with executive sponsors and cross-functional leaders to communicate with clarity and confidence.

Operations Excellence

• Assess operational impacts and identify gaps relevant to new market launches.
• Maintain forecasting, monitoring, and execution rigor for complex program portfolios.
• Promote a culture rooted in strong operating principles and company values.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 10 years specialization in program management, strategy, operations, or business operations.
• At least 3 years managing teams with proven skill in building high-performing groups.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, build from conception, and identify optimal strategies in uncharted areas.
• Expertise in managing multi-workstream initiatives, risk identification, and stakeholder alignment rigorously.
• Track record of effective cross-team leadership aligning diverse groups like Product, Engineering, GTM, and Operations.
• Demonstrated fluency in using AI tools to enhance work efficiency, with clear communication of applications.
• Experience working with global, multi-timezone teams and adapting to flexible working hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in international expansion, market entry strategies, regulatory compliance, or licensing projects.
• Experience at tech firms, particularly in fintech or payments sectors, is advantageous.
