Head of Quality Management (m/w/d)

About the Role

As the Head of Quality Management at Minitube International, you will be responsible not only for quality control but for establishing scalable quality management structures across the entire group with operational anchoring at the headquarters in Tiefenbach, Bavaria. Your role involves advancing existing quality processes and systems, aligning standards across subsidiaries, and laying the foundation for consistent, efficient, and digitally supported work methods throughout the company. Collaborating closely with international locations, you will connect strategic topics such as product quality, product management, and service with practical daily implementation to ensure sustainable product quality and to embed quality requirements group-wide.

Key Responsibilities

• Further develop the group-wide quality strategy and translate it into clear standards, effective processes, and measurable improvement programs.
• Harmonize the quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 principles across all subsidiaries, ensuring practical and uniform application of requirements.
• Act as the Quality Management Representative at headquarters, establishing robust processes for inspections, approvals, document control, audit readiness, and compliance with quality and GMP standards.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate internal, external, and supplier audits, deriving actionable improvements from audit outcomes.
• Manage CAPA processes, complaint analyses, deviations, and change control topics, ensuring sustainable effectiveness of measures.
• Enhance quality across product development, production, purchasing, service, and product management by implementing clear quality gates, FMEA, design reviews, and risk-based thinking.
• Advance supplier quality through evaluations, escalations, and supporting suppliers in improving their quality performance sustainably.
• Drive digitalization of quality management by leveraging QMS software, document management systems, data analysis, KPIs, and AI-supported methods to make processes more transparent, efficient, and future-ready.
• Regularly report to the executive board on quality performance, risks, trends, and improvement measures at the group level.
• Promote a pragmatic quality culture within the company and manage QM topics across departments and international sites, even without direct disciplinary responsibility.

Candidate Profile

• Completed studies in engineering, natural sciences, quality management, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in quality management within technical or industrial environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of quality standards and systems, especially ISO 9001 and preferably GMP.
• Experience preparing and conducting audits and confident handling of regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to develop and standardize processes, ideally across multiple locations.
• Enthusiasm for building structures, aligning diverse interests, and implementing change pragmatically, consistently, and judiciously.
• Adeptness at quickly understanding complex relationships, analyzing them, and deriving practical, actionable solutions.
• Enjoys collaborating with varied stakeholders and international sites, advocating quality issues with conviction, communication strength, and reliability, even without direct supervisory authority.
• Comfortable working on both strategic topics and operational implementation, navigating confidently between both levels.
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
• Familiarity with quality methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, SPC, or APQP, with practical experience being beneficial.
• Experience in supplier quality management including supplier development and audits is a plus.
• Openness to digital tools, data-driven evaluations, and AI-supported approaches in quality management with a passion to improve process efficiency and transparency.
• Willingness to undertake occasional international travel to our offices and suppliers.
