Head of Projects & Lightplanning

About the Role

Join SLV GmbH as the Head of Projects & Lightplanning and lead the creation and growth of a robust competence center specializing in lighting design, technical consulting, and project support. Based in Übach-Palenberg/Düsseldorf with 40% remote work, this full-time, permanent position starts immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and establish a powerful center of expertise for light planning, technical advice, and project assistance.
• Oversee operational management, prioritize project requests, and evaluate project opportunities.
• Ensure continuous improvement, efficient processes, transparent workflows, and maintain high project quality.
• Plan resources and capacity across project management, lighting design, and technical project support.
• Lead the Project & Light Planning team both technically and disciplinarily while fostering their development.
• Collaborate closely with Key Account Management, sales force, product management, operations, and customer service.
• Formulate and implement standards, processes, and KPI-based control tools.
• Advance the project pipeline actively and manage project forecasting.
• Support the sales organization with technical expertise and practical lighting solution competencies.
• Identify areas for optimization and actively contribute to evolving the project business.

Required Qualifications

• Several years of leadership experience in project management, project business, lighting design/planning, or comparable technical fields.
• Deep expertise in illumination, lighting applications, or technical project solutions.
• Proven ability in building and advancing teams, processes, and organizational structures.
• Strong skills in managing complex projects and cross-functional collaboration.
• High proficiency in process, organizational, and methodological competencies.
• Experience with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
• Analytical, structured, and solution-driven working style.
• Advanced leadership, communication skills, and decisiveness.
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
