Position Overview

The Head of Production role entails comprehensive oversight of manufacturing operations, ensuring production timelines, optimal use of resources, top product standards, and ongoing process enhancements. This strategic leadership position demands the ability to cultivate high-performing teams while fulfilling operational goals efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production workflows to maintain seamless manufacturing operations.
• Meet production objectives while guaranteeing deliveries align with customer schedules.
• Maintain strict compliance with quality standards, procedural protocols, and manufacturing best practices.
• Optimize workforce allocation, machinery usage, and other production assets to enhance efficiency and output.
• Collaborate with departments including Merchandising, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain for flawless execution.
• Track production expenses and initiate efficiency improvements to lower waste and cost.
• Ensure workplace safety and adherence to legal and company policies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop production personnel to foster a culture of excellence.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen methodologies, and continual improvement programs throughout the production process.
• Analyze key performance indicators and apply corrective measures to boost productivity and operational results.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Leather Technology, Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Bring 8 to 10 years of extensive experience in production leadership within the leather goods, handbags, accessories, footwear, or export-focused manufacturing sectors.
• Demonstrate proven expertise in managing sizable production teams within high-volume setups.
• Have a strong command of production scheduling, capacity planning, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and strategies for productivity enhancement.
• Showcase excellent leadership qualities, problem-solving abilities, stakeholder communication, and sound decision-making skills.
