Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Head of Product to lead the ongoing development of our platform. This role involves close collaboration with customers, client-facing teams, and engineers to identify customer challenges, formulate product strategy, and deliver impactful solutions. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage the product roadmap, spearhead product discovery, and ensure alignment with customer needs. As the company grows, you will also shape how product management is structured and executed across the business.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and prioritize the product roadmap to maximize customer and business value.
- Lead customer discovery efforts using interviews, research, and analytics.
- Convert customer challenges into defined product requirements and user stories.
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to implement quality enhancements.
- Release new product features and monitor adoption and outcomes.
- Balance innovation with technical upkeep and platform enhancements.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to integrate customer feedback into product decisions.
- Utilize data, insights, and commercial judgment to guide prioritization and measure results.
- Continuously refine the product development methodology in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager within a B2B SaaS company.
- Background working in early-stage startups or scale-ups.
- Expertise owning product roadmaps from discovery through delivery.
- Strong customer discovery skills and history of iterative product improvements.
- Track record of launching successful features that address authentic customer needs.
- Experience collaborating closely with agile engineering teams.
- Outstanding prioritization abilities and stakeholder communication skills.
- High commercial awareness aligned with outcome-driven product management.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving startup contexts.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with AI, workflow automation, fintech, or wealth technology sectors.
- Background leading complex product initiatives such as platform modernization or technical refactoring.
- Experience scaling product management processes in growing SaaS organizations.
- Use of product analytics platforms.
Success Milestones
- Within 3 months: Developed strong relationships internally and externally; established a clear and prioritized roadmap; implemented consistent product discovery and prioritization processes.
- Within 12 months: Delivered significant product enhancements with measurable customer adoption; increased confidence in roadmap decisions through robust customer insights and analytics; contributed to the maturation of PlannerPal's product capabilities.
