Head of Product Operations

Role Overview

We seek a Head of Product Operations to establish and expand the foundational operations within a developing product organization based in Ireland. The individual will focus on creating effective systems, improving teamwork across product functions, and empowering product teams to deliver impactful outcomes efficiently and at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a comprehensive product operations framework that enhances planning, coordination, execution, and communication among product teams.
• Drive cross-team planning efforts including roadmap harmonization, goal clarification, prioritization, and tracking of progress.
• Implement scalable operational procedures, continuously finding ways to streamline efficiency, eliminate obstacles, and simplify complex processes.
• Evaluate current workflows, introduce optimizations, and create standardized documentation and knowledge management methods.
• Design and maintain collaboration mechanisms such as operating agreements, dependency oversight, risk monitoring, and escalation protocols.
• Establish execution management approaches for strategic projects to ensure transparency, responsibility, and alignment among stakeholders.
• Enhance adoption and standardization of project management and collaboration tools by setting guidelines and supporting usage.
• Ensure documentation of critical decisions, lessons learned, and retrospectives is accessible organization-wide.
• Research and deploy AI-driven tools and automation to boost productivity and operational effectiveness.
• Serve as a strategic operational partner to product leadership, translating business goals into actionable execution plans.
• Recruit, mentor, and nurture a high-performing product operations team.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of three years experience in product operations, program management, or related roles within technology or product-oriented organizations.
• Proven capability in designing, launching, or enhancing operational workflows within product teams.
• Experience supporting cross-functional planning cycles including quarterly planning, goal setting, and roadmap coordination.
• Proficiency with task management, documentation, and collaboration platforms.
• Competence in creating effective operational models that avoid unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Strong communicator skilled at managing stakeholders, facilitating complex discussions, and influencing outcomes without formal authority.
• Analytical thinker able to distill ambiguous challenges into structured plans and measurable goals.
• Experience leading or building teams is highly preferred.
