Head of Product & Business Operations

Role Overview

We seek a commercially astute and strategic executive to lead and grow a SaaS company specializing in real-time inventory and asset management. Located in Troy, Michigan, this role commands the overall product vision, operational success, technological alignment, and market growth efforts for the flagship software solution. This senior position offers the opportunity to directly influence business outcomes throughout the product lifecycle while steering the formation of a top-tier enterprise software team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set and champion the long-term business and product strategy aligned with market demands and corporate growth targets.
• Take full accountability for commercial results including revenue growth, profit optimization, and comprehensive business metrics.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams encompassing product management, engineering, operations, and go-to-market strategies to deliver scalable outcomes.
• Drive product roadmap prioritization using a blend of client feedback, competitive analysis, and market trends to enhance platform positioning.
• Supervise continuous cloud-based software development ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Design effective pricing models, packaging options, and commercialization tactics to foster recurring revenue and durable customer engagement.
• Nurture relationships with customers, senior executives, and external partners to advocate for the business and inform strategic decisions.
• Cultivate organizational capability by mentoring leadership, refining team structures, and instilling accountability within the software business unit.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related fields.
• Minimum of 7 years in progressive leadership roles within SaaS, enterprise software, or technology-driven sectors.
• Proven expertise in steering both product strategies and business profitability, including P&L oversight.
• Experience in launching and scaling enterprise software products commercially.
• Deep understanding of SaaS operating models, subscription-based revenue, pricing strategies, and go-to-market execution.
• Hands-on leadership of software development teams with experience in cloud platform environments.
• Strong communication skills with executive presence and customer engagement acumen.
• Preferred experience in inventory/asset management, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or operational technology sectors.
