Job description
About Tracksuit
Tracksuit helps brands demonstrate the business value of brand-building by giving marketing teams the data they need to make smarter choices, build trust inside their organisations, and grow in a more sustainable way. The company is expanding quickly across New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom, supported by leading investors. Its platform measures brands across 25 markets, helping teams show the impact of brand wherever they operate.
The culture is built around collaborative, ambitious people working on something meaningful. The team operates with a “high care, high performance” mindset: aiming for excellence while supporting one another.
About the role
Tracksuit is hiring a Head of Product to lead the product management function while the current Head of Product is on parental leave for approximately 12 months. This is a true leadership position, not a temporary handover role. You will coach and develop product managers, help steer product strategy, and share ownership of delivery with the Head of Engineering and Head of Design.
The company is looking for a warm, low-ego product leader who enjoys helping others do great work and who thrives in the pace and ambiguity of a scaling global SaaS business.
What you will do
- Keep the customer at the centre of decision-making by regularly speaking with customers and partners to uncover pain points and new opportunities.
- Build a strong product culture that encourages discovery, experimentation, and learning, while helping the wider company align around the product vision and approach.
- Lead, coach, and develop the product management team, supporting PM growth, craft, and career progression.
- Work with the Head of Engineering and Head of Design to define product direction, build an inspiring vision, and create a strategy and team structure that can deliver it.
- Make sure product priorities stay aligned with the broader business goals and that objectives connect product work to measurable outcomes.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer success, and other functions to achieve strong product results and maintain effective communication across the business.
- Represent Tracksuit externally and support the company’s public approach to building products in the open.
What will help you succeed
- You are motivated by helping people grow and get satisfaction from seeing coached team members achieve things they once could not.
- You lead with empathy, humility, and a calm presence, and you help create an environment people enjoy being part of.
- You know product craft deeply, having worked as a product manager yourself across discovery, design, delivery, data, strategy, and storytelling.
- You have experience working in fast-moving startups or scale-ups where change is constant and operating models evolve frequently.
- You think commercially and can shape product direction in a scrappy environment while using data to guide decisions.
- You know how to bring senior stakeholders along and build trust across different parts of the business.
Experience we are looking for
- Prior leadership experience managing and growing a team of product managers.
- Background in scaling a SaaS product and product team, ideally in a high-growth company.
- Strong history of coaching and mentoring PMs rather than only supervising their work.
- Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, design, data, and broader business teams.
- A strong customer-insight mindset that keeps customer needs central to your approach.
Why you will love working here
- Employee share ownership from day one, so every Trackstar participates in the company’s success.
- Transparent pay with no uncertainty or awkward bargaining.
- A learning and development budget to support your growth.
- Flexible hybrid working, with the choice of working from the Auckland office or from home.
- Tracksuit-branded merch included.
- A culture that balances ambition with genuine care and support.
- The chance to have real impact by leading a product team at a company reshaping how the world understands brand.
Additional information
Applicants who do not meet every requirement are still encouraged to apply if they bring the right attitude and most of the relevant experience. The company values people who do not necessarily follow a traditional career path.
