Job description

About BRINC

BRINC develops technology aimed at improving public safety, starting with drones and ruggedized throw phones built to reach dangerous places and create communication channels that can help calm critical incidents. The company now also works on 911 response networks that send drones to emergency calls to deliver live visual information and support safer, de-escalation-focused responses. Its products are used by more than 600 public safety agencies in the U.S., and BRINC has raised over $150M from investors including Index Ventures, Motorola Solutions, Sam Altman, Dylan Field, Mike Volpe, Alexandr Wang, and others.

  • Oversee talent management programs such as succession planning, and later, leadership development and career pathing.
  • Run performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback cycles, and development planning to support a strong performance culture.
  • Design competitive compensation and benefits offerings that fit both market standards and company priorities.
  • Advise on employee relations matters, help resolve conflicts, and support a respectful, collaborative environment.
  • Lead engagement efforts such as surveys, feedback programs, and initiatives that improve satisfaction and retention.
  • Review people metrics to spot trends, surface risks, and recommend data-backed improvements to HR practices.
  • Build and deliver training and development programs that support employee, leadership, and skill growth.
  • Collaborate with teams across Finance, Engineering, Revenue, and Operations to align People programs with business needs and legal requirements.
  • Develop trusted relationships across the organization and keep communication open at every level.
  • Lead change management initiatives that help the company scale and adapt as needs evolve.
  • Stay current on HR best practices, industry trends, and regulatory updates to keep BRINC competitive and compliant.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related area, or equivalent experience in place of formal education.
  • At least 8 years in talent acquisition, including 4+ years leading a recruiting function at a fast-growing company.
  • Previous experience in a startup or other high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated success in people leadership, recruiting, organizational development, and performance management.
  • Strong command of HR strategy and the ability to build people programs and policies that support company goals.
  • Solid understanding of pre-IPO equity, including ISO and RSU structures.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership to influence culture and business results.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence people at all levels.
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort using people data to guide decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems and tools such as HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
  • Ability to juggle several priorities at once in a fast-moving, changing environment.
  • High emotional intelligence and a track record of building a positive, inclusive culture.
