An agency in Brisbane is seeking a Head of Paid Media to take full ownership of its paid media capability. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on team management and is suited to someone who enjoys shaping growth while staying close to campaign delivery.

What you'll be responsible for
As Head of Paid Media, you will lead the full paid media function, define the strategic direction, and guide the team to deliver excellent results across client accounts. You will act as a senior internal and external authority on paid media and help shape the agency’s performance offering.
Your work will include managing campaign strategy, execution, and optimisation across search, social, display, and programmatic channels. You will oversee large budgets, drive return on investment, collaborate with creative, content, and strategy teams, and ensure campaigns are delivered effectively from planning through to rollout.
In addition, you will support new business pitches, present strategy and performance to senior stakeholders, promote innovation in emerging platforms, and help strengthen the agency’s market position as a leading performance partner.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate will bring at least 7 years of paid media experience, including more than 3 years in a leadership or senior management role. You should have a track record of building and guiding a high-performing team, along with strong ownership of paid search, paid social, display, and programmatic activity.
Experience working closely with SEO, CRO, and broader digital teams is important, as is the ability to develop long-term paid media strategy across multiple brands or clients. This role suits someone with agency experience or experience in another fast-moving, multi-client environment.
We are also looking for a proactive leader with energy, vision, and a willingness to keep learning, adapt quickly, and embrace new ideas.
Compensation and work arrangement
The salary on offer is up to AUD 190,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience. The role is based in the Brisbane office with a hybrid setup that includes one work-from-home day each week.
