Job description
Role Overview
This is a senior leadership position for an accomplished operations professional who can steer organizational performance, strengthen execution across departments, and support long-term growth. The role focuses on improving efficiency, shaping operational direction, and ensuring that day-to-day business activity runs smoothly and in line with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and carry out operational plans that support the organization’s vision, objectives, and expansion plans.
- Oversee daily operations across several business areas and functional teams.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and raise efficiency through continuous improvement.
- Set up, track, and report on operational KPIs and performance measures.
- Handle resources, budgets, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Work closely with executive leadership on strategy, growth, and business transformation efforts.
- Create and roll out operational policies, procedures, and governance structures.
- Guide, coach, and develop department managers and operational staff.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
- Spot operational risks and put mitigation, contingency, and business continuity measures in place.
- Manage vendor relationships, service delivery, procurement coordination, and external partnerships.
- Promote a workplace culture centered on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Prior experience in senior operations leadership, business management, or a comparable executive role.
- Strong command of business operations, process management, and organizational leadership.
- Proven ability to lead large teams and coordinate work across multiple departments.
- Solid financial understanding, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and cost management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, strategic judgment, and decision-making ability.
- Experience with operational transformation, scalability, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-moving, dynamic, and growth-focused environments.
- Strong planning, organization, and project management skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- An MBA or similar postgraduate qualification is considered an added advantage.
