Job Overview
The Head of Operations at Airbus Helicopters Arabia oversees comprehensive operational performance encompassing spares distribution, technical assistance, Part 145 maintenance and repair, equipment servicing, training delivery, and contract management to facilitate operational excellence, regulatory adherence, and a robust safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coordination of all operational departments including spares distribution, technical support, Part 145 workshop activities, equipment repair, and training programs.
- Align operational strategies with business goals and client commitments, driving performance through KPIs, governance frameworks, and frequent operational assessments.
- Ensure the Part 145 maintenance facility fully complies with civil and military airworthiness regulations and maintain strong relations with regulatory bodies and Airbus engineering support.
- Optimize spares inventory accuracy and distribution efficiency, while supervising equipment repair to meet quality and timeliness benchmarks.
- Manage training initiatives to meet required standards and aid client skill development, liaising with external training partners as needed.
- Oversee contract execution to fulfill deliverables, service-level agreements, and commercial agreements while contributing to the development of multi-service bundled support packages alongside sales and business development teams.
- Promote a visible and strong safety culture, implement rigorous risk management, incident reporting, and continuous operational improvements.
- Develop and maintain structured and auditable operational processes ensuring scalability and consistency.
- Provide strong leadership to operational team leaders, encouraging accountability, collaboration, and continuous enhancement across teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Support and Services within the aeronautics sector, preferably in helicopter or complex technical operations maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO).
- Comprehensive understanding of Part 145 regulations and related airworthiness standards.
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams across technical, logistics, and training functions.
- Contract management expertise and involvement in commercial/service package creation.
- Committed to fostering a safety-first culture with disciplined and organized operational practices.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Broad internal and external professional network within the industry.
