Role Overview
The company is looking for an energetic, influential Head of Marketing and Communications to spearhead branding, communications, and marketing strategies. This position requires a blend of strategic foresight and practical implementation skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in writing, branding, design, media relations, and corporate storytelling to craft compelling narratives, enhance brand recognition, and influence stakeholders such as investors, customers, policymakers, media, and potential employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and reinforce BrightNight's brand identity, messaging, and corporate narrative for diverse audiences and across multiple channels.
- Design and execute comprehensive brand marketing campaigns.
- Create internal messaging frameworks and talking points that empower employees to serve as brand ambassadors.
- Utilize market research and company insights to curate and sustain a cross-channel messaging approach that resonates memorably with target groups.
- Manage digital marketing, website content, social media, and branded collateral supporting sales, investor relations, recruitment, and corporate goals.
- Conduct an audit of existing brand assets such as videos and media, identifying deficiencies and planning immediate and future content development.
- Lead communications by founders and executives, fostering thought leadership, media outreach, public relations, and engagement with strategic stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align event participation and speaking engagements with overall thought leadership strategies.
- Leverage white papers, videos from events, executive presentations, and other content to assert thought leadership on key topics aligning with strategic aims.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to articulate complex business, technical, and market information clearly and compellingly.
- Develop a consistent voice for BrightNight projects by providing essential materials and community engagement resources that streamline efforts and reduce costs.
- Create a repository of adaptable outreach tools for project communication, such as open-house toolkits and community materials.
- Work with external agencies to ensure all outputs reflect the BrightNight brand and content strategies.
- Lead and mentor a results-driven marketing and communications team, setting clear objectives, delivering continuous coaching, and fostering a productive work environment.
- Formulate and administer an annual marketing and communications budget aligned with organizational objectives and marketing plans.
- Oversee the evaluation and ongoing optimization of marketing and communication initiatives.
Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum of 15 years in marketing, communications, brand strategy, public relations, or related leadership roles.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and enhancing corporate brands, especially in complex, fast-growing, or regulated sectors.
- Strong capabilities in strategic communication, storytelling, executive messaging, and media relations with demonstrated achievement in securing significant market exposure.
- Experience in designing and implementing integrated marketing and communication strategies across both digital and traditional media.
- Ability to work strategically and hands-on, balancing several priorities and collaborating effectively with senior leaders and cross-department teams.
- Industry experience in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, technology, industrial, or financial services is favored; familiarity with renewable energy and emerging technologies is an advantage.
