About the Team and Role
Shipping is a major driver of buyer confidence and marketplace conversion. This position is central to eBay’s efforts to expand shipping capabilities and create value for both sellers and buyers. As Head of Managed Shipping, Labels & PUDO, you will be responsible for the growth and performance of eBay’s shipping solutions in the market, setting direction, driving execution, and delivering results.
You will partner closely with Product, Marketplace Operations, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams to increase adoption, enhance customer experience, and deliver measurable business impact. The role calls for both strategic thinking and practical delivery, with accountability for outcomes across the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the performance and expansion of Managed Shipping, Labels, and PUDO, with a focus on adoption, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
- Design and execute initiatives that improve seller uptake and broaden marketplace penetration.
- Strengthen the full shipping journey for sellers and buyers by identifying improvement areas and working with Product and Operations.
- Shape product roadmap priorities through close alignment with Product and Engineering partners.
- Coordinate across Marketplace Operations, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams to deliver the market strategy.
- Create regular operating cadences to track key metrics, lead business reviews, and support continuous performance improvements.
- Foster a high-accountability, high-ownership, fast-moving culture while guiding cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in business leadership, strategy, product, or marketplace operations.
- A strong record of driving growth while coordinating work across several functions in complex environments.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking ability, supported by a data-led decision-making style.
- The capability to convert insights into clear actions that improve business results.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across varied teams.
- Experience scaling programs or products in marketplace or platform settings; logistics or shipping experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to work across London, Bern, or Berlin and collaborate with distributed teams.
