Head of Logistics - Luxury Fashion Brand

About the Role

Mode Search is seeking a dynamic Head of Logistics to spearhead the development and management of a world-class logistics function for an expanding luxury fashion company. This leadership position demands driving excellence in warehousing, transportation, and international distribution to support seamless, customer-centric supply chain operations globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft and execute comprehensive logistics strategies spanning wholesale, retail, and ecommerce channels.
• Supervise the global flow of raw materials and finished products, ensuring supply chain accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, and carriers, including handling contract negotiations and performance evaluations.
• Lead warehouse management covering inventory allocation, space utilization, and fluctuating seasonal demand.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, duties, and trade laws.
• Collaborate with Retail and Ecommerce teams to optimize fulfillment, replenishment, returns, and enhance customer delivery experiences.
• Drive system enhancements and digital transformation initiatives involving warehouse management and enterprise resource planning systems to increase automation and scalability.
• Develop and maintain performance monitoring frameworks, including reporting dashboards for costs, delivery KPIs, and overall logistics efficiency.
• Coordinate critical timelines for new collections to ensure timely market delivery and operational smoothness.
• Partner with Merchandising to implement inventory health strategies that maximize sell-through rates and reduce excess stock.
• Oversee logistics for showrooms and manage sample tracking for campaigns and photoshoots.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing logistics team fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain management, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Background in fashion, luxury, or comparable product-driven industries.
• Extensive expertise across multi-channel distribution networks including wholesale, retail, and ecommerce.
• In-depth knowledge of global shipping protocols, customs, duties, and trade compliance.
• Proven capabilities in managing third-party logistics providers and negotiating logistics contracts.
• Strong proficiency with ERP and WMS systems and demonstrated success leading digital transformation in logistics.
• Advanced analytical skills, including experience with business intelligence tools and Microsoft Excel to inform decision-making.
• Proven ability to build and scale effective teams.
• Solid commercial acumen and aptitude for cross-functional collaboration.
