Head of IT

Role overview

An established group is seeking a Head of IT to steer its technology agenda across infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications. This position carries responsibility for guiding a major ERP rollout while also helping define the organisation’s wider IT and AI roadmap across a multi-location operation.

What you will do

• Create and deliver an IT plan that supports the group’s business priorities, including digital change and AI-related initiatives.
• Lead the deployment and continuous refinement of a group-wide Microsoft Dynamics ERP platform.
• Maintain dependable, high-availability technology infrastructure for a business operating across multiple sites.
• Oversee cybersecurity, operational risk, regulatory compliance, and data protection practices.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of around 10 people covering infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business systems.
• Work closely with senior leaders and build trusted relationships across the organisation.
• Control IT spending and coordinate external vendors and technology service partners.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate brings senior leadership experience as a Head of IT, IT Director, or senior IT Manager. A strong background in ERP environments is essential, along with hands-on experience managing technology in multi-site or distributed operations. You should also have a firm understanding of cybersecurity, governance, and compliance, plus the confidence to influence stakeholders at leadership level and build effective teams.
