Head of Investment

Overview

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Head of Investment will lead the entire investment function, focusing on developing and maintaining relationships with deal providers, advisors, and investment partners. The role involves comprehensive management of the investment process from sourcing through to exit, covering financial investments, international real estate, and portfolio asset oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and cultivate investment partnerships and networks alongside the GM.
• Conduct thorough due diligence and market research to stay updated with global market trends and alternative investment management sectors.
• Oversee relationships with investment managers, companies, partners, and advisors collaboratively with the GM.
• Manage all post-investment activities and portfolio monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist the GM in crafting investment strategies and decision-making pertaining to portfolio management.
• Recommend policies and strategies aligned with local and global best practices and evolving industry dynamics.
• Continuously scan market opportunities; conduct and present research and analyses to support investment decisions.
• Serve as a key intermediary in negotiations and communications with investment partners to secure advantageous opportunities.
• Lead due diligence efforts with investment analysts and oversee transaction closures.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for selected initiatives within international real estate investments.
• Recommend and negotiate finance programs and secure debt capital for the real estate portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal and external professionals to negotiate, finance, manage, and liquidate international real estate assets.
• Identify trends and prospects in private equity, venture capital, equities, and commercial real estate markets at local and global levels.
• Under GM direction, manage the full lifecycle of investment assets to ensure alignment with market norms and maximize returns.
• Lead divestment initiatives strategically to optimize company value.
• Conduct comprehensive economic, industry, and market research.
• Review and analyze market data, financials, and equity to benchmark investments and make informed recommendations.
