Role Overview

As the Head of HR Business Partner for Technology, you will be a critical member of the People Team based onsite in Palo Alto, CA. This position requires both strategic foresight and hands-on execution, advising senior leadership on organizational structure, talent strategy, and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted People Partner to executives leading Wing’s Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Autonomous Systems, and other technology teams.
• Formulate talent strategies grounded in data to align with short- and long-term technical and business goals.
• Assist leaders in building, managing, and expanding high-caliber teams, promoting accountability, effective management, and strong execution.
• Lead organizational design efforts to optimize team efficiency, encourage cross-functional collaboration, and foster employee growth.
• Oversee crucial cyclical talent programs including compensation reviews, talent calibrations, succession plans, and development pathways for client groups.
• Handle complex and sensitive employee relations matters with discretion, fairness, and empathy.
• Promote and protect Wing’s workplace culture by analyzing organizational health metrics and crafting targeted engagement and retention initiatives.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a small team of HR Business Partners, enhancing strategic and operational excellence within the group.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 15 years of progressive strategic HR experience in technology, logistics, or hardware industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven track record supporting and influencing Senior Directors and VP-level leaders on broad talent strategies.
• Expertise in workforce planning and leading organizational redesign initiatives.
• Strong judgment with extensive experience managing sensitive employee relations cases, investigations, and performance management systems.
• Prior leadership experience in fast-growing, dynamic environments balancing strategic direction with practical HR program execution.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills that foster trust, align stakeholders quickly, and resolve conflicts.
• Data-driven analytical skills to uncover root causes, assess organizational barriers, and develop actionable improvement plans.

Compensation and Equal Opportunity

The full-time position’s base salary range is between $264,000 and $281,000 USD, supplemented by bonuses, equity, and benefits. Salary levels depend on role, seniority, and location.
