Job description
Role overview
Modash is hiring a leader to take charge of growth for its Data Products line. This position needs someone who can look across the entire go-to-market motion and connect marketing, sales, and account management with product and data engineering.
In the first 12 months, you will be responsible for marketing, sales, and account management for the API business, while working closely with the product and data engineering teams. The role is designed as a strong test of leadership, ownership, and execution.
About Modash and the opportunity
Modash operates two businesses: a SaaS platform that helps 2,500+ brands manage influencer marketing, and an API suite that different companies use to build products and conduct research.
The API business is expanding quickly and needs a dedicated owner. Until now, it has been handled alongside other leadership responsibilities, but it is now important to give it focused attention. The company believes this business line could leave substantial revenue on the table without a strong growth leader, and also sees major potential to create something highly valuable.
Modash expects this business to grow at least 3x in 2026 and believes it can triple again in 2027 with the right person leading growth.
What you will own
- The complete API customer journey and go-to-market motion, with the goal of turning existing marketing, sales, and account management workflows into a scalable system.
- The team across marketing, sales, and customer success, which will report into you over the foreseeable future.
- Hiring strong performers, coaching them effectively, and helping them raise their performance bar.
- Growth strategy, including deciding which customer segments to prioritize, how to reach them, how to sell to them, and how to deliver an excellent experience at every touchpoint.
- Revenue growth for the API business, with targets to triple revenue in 2026 and again in 2027.
What the company is looking for
- Someone who has built a go-to-market system from the ground up rather than only improving an existing playbook.
- A systems thinker who can identify weak points in a business and fix them in a structured way.
- Proven people management experience, including helping team members grow, delivering difficult feedback, and building a high-performing team.
- Confidence in customer conversations, including the ability to speak with large accounts and hold your ground.
- An unconventional background is welcomed, such as experience as a founder, investor, or a career pivot into a different field or industry.
- Strong comfort with product and technology, including the ability to understand technical issues without necessarily having an engineering degree.
- Fast learning ability and a track record of being trusted with increasingly ambiguous problems.
- Flexibility to work without a rigid role definition and the ability to learn new areas quickly.
- Strong customer empathy and a low tolerance for poor customer experience.
- Ability to work closely with product teams by staying deeply informed about customer problems and asking strong questions.
- Leadership skills covering hiring, coaching, and making tough decisions when needed.
Benefits and working conditions
- Flexible working hours, with the expectation that you overlap with EU business hours and coordinate with the CEO and other colleagues.
- Unlimited paid time off.
- Fully remote work for candidates based in Europe.
- Support for personal development, including courses, books, or conferences that help you upskill.
- Strong ownership and autonomy, with minimal bureaucracy and room to try new ideas.
Additional notes
This role is fully remote within Europe, but you should be available during EU business hours. The company emphasizes trust, flexibility, and adult-to-adult working style, with no micromanagement.
