  • Recruit, develop, and manage a dedicated government sales team as the vertical grows.
  • Maintain executive-level relationship management for major government accounts and handle complex client escalations.

  • Design pricing, proposal, and contract approaches tailored to public sector purchasing practices, including sole-source justifications and budget cycle considerations.
  • Act as company representative at government and industry conferences and association events.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to align development and client experience with government requirements.
  • Take ownership of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and quota fulfillment within the government vertical.

Residency in Florida is advantageous, though candidates from other regions may be considered provided they can travel as needed.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years in business development or sales with significant experience selling directly to state and local government agencies or municipalities.
  • Proven leadership experience in building or managing sales teams.
  • Consistent record of meeting or exceeding quotas and growing accounts within the public sector.
  • Practical knowledge of government procurement processes including RFPs, bids, and contract negotiations.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance.
  • Preferred knowledge of public records laws, land records, or real estate recording industry.
  • Ability to influence a wide range of government stakeholders, from IT directors to elected officials.
  • Strong executive presence, negotiation aptitude, and effective communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, as well as Microsoft and Google Office applications.
  • Florida-based applicants are preferred, though qualified candidates in other regions with willingness to travel (30-40%) are also considered.
