About the Role
We are partnering with a prominent Saudi real estate development and investment firm to appoint a senior leader to head their Finance & Accounting division. This executive role reports to the CFO & VP Support Services and is pivotal in guiding the organisation's financial management, regulatory compliance, and overall fiscal strategy across its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire Finance & Accounting function, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, tax, and treasury operations.
- Lead the development and management of annual business plans, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Manage the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure full adherence to IFRS, Saudi GAAP, VAT, Zakat, Withholding Tax (WHT), and ZATCA standards.
- Coordinate statutory audits and liaise with external auditors, banks, tax consultants, and financial partners.
- Control treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, banking relations, and credit facility management.
- Deliver financial analyses to support property transactions, development feasibility, lease pricing, capital allocation, and investment evaluation.
- Track financial health including performance metrics, investment returns, risk exposures, and cost efficiencies.
- Present refined financial reports, forecasts, and strategic analyses to senior management and the Board.
- Collaborate with department heads to enhance budgeting accuracy, cost control, and financial results.
- Champion finance transformation initiatives focusing on automation, real-time reporting through Power BI, Yardi systems, and AI-driven financial tools.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounting team with clear performance targets and succession planning.
- Maintain robust financial governance, internal controls, and ensure readiness for continuous audits.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields.
- Hold professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent; an MBA or master’s degree is a plus.
- Have at least 5-8 years of progressive finance experience, including two or more years in senior leadership roles.
- Demonstrate significant expertise in real estate, property management, development, or related industries.
- Be thoroughly familiar with IFRS, Saudi GAAP, VAT, Zakat, and WHT regulatory frameworks.
- Have proven experience managing statutory audits and collaborating with external auditors.
- Excel in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling techniques.
- Bring solid experience in treasury functions, cash flow management, and capital investment analysis.
- Provide commercially-oriented financial insight that supports business leadership and executive decision-making.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities with a record of developing high-performing finance teams.
- Demonstrate commitment to automating finance processes and adopting digital tools and analytics.
- Be proficient with Yardi software, Power BI, advanced Excel, and financial modeling; familiarity with AI-enhanced finance tools is desirable.
