Role Overview

Due to significant growth, Synergie Skin is seeking a Head of Finance to spearhead its next expansion phase by implementing stronger financial discipline, clearer margin visibility, and strategic commercial decision-making. This position demands a finance leader who balances hands-on detail management with strategic oversight, driving financial performance throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all finance functions including reporting, cash flow management, forecasting, and compliance.
• Manage product costing, pricing strategies, and margin analysis within a manufacturing context.
• Provide transparency on profitability across products, sales channels, and customers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to influence commercial decisions.
• Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and various scenario planning exercises.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to tax, audit, and statutory requirements.
• Enhance financial systems (e.g., NetSuite) to develop a reliable single source of truth with accurate data capture.
• Guide and mentor a small, skilled finance team.
• Support strategic initiatives including investment decisions and international market growth.

Candidate Profile

• Commercially focused with a strong technical finance foundation.
• Experience in product or manufacturing businesses with deep understanding of margin components beyond reporting.
• Ability to navigate between strategic perspectives and detailed financial analysis.
• Confident in engaging senior stakeholders to collaborate and challenge for improved business outcomes.
• Preferably holds CPA or CA qualifications.
• Proficient in Australian tax and accounting standards.
• Experienced in costing, inventory management, and operational finance.
• Familiar with ERP systems, especially NetSuite or equivalents.
• Hands-on and action-oriented approach.
