Head of Finance

About the Role

Somtrade Limited is looking for a seasoned Head of Finance to lead the financial operations at our Container Freight Station (CFS) in Mombasa. The successful candidate will be responsible for steering financial planning, budget management, reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance to support the company’s growth and maintain robust financial health.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

• Oversee all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve set objectives.
• Bring proven experience in senior finance roles, ideally within logistics or shipping sectors.
• Have a strong grasp of financial analysis and strategic financial management.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree, preferably an MBA with a finance specialization.
• At least 10 years of experience in finance with senior management exposure.
• Experience in logistics or shipping industry is advantageous.
