Job description
Role overview
This is a senior finance leadership opportunity in Saudi Arabia for a professional who can build and scale the financial foundation of a fast-growing consumer digital company. The position is being handled on behalf of a partner organization, which will manage applications and the next stages of the process. As the first finance leader inside the business, you will introduce structure, discipline, and strategic direction across the finance function while supporting decisions at executive level.
The role goes beyond reporting and compliance. It combines hands-on ownership of day-to-day finance with broader planning responsibilities, helping the company strengthen transparency, control, and long-term scalability in a remote-first setup.
Key accountabilities
- Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and strategic plans covering growth assumptions, headcount requirements, scenario analysis, and cash flow needs.
- Run budgeting activities and give leadership clear insight into trade-offs, risk areas, and the main drivers behind performance.
- Keep investor-facing models, reporting packs, and board-ready materials up to date for fundraising and strategic conversations.
- Take charge of inventory accounting, cost monitoring, and reconciliations across revenue, expenses, cash movement, and cost of goods sold.
- Improve visibility into profitability, margin performance, and unit economics while ensuring reporting is accurate and delivered on time.
- Build dependable financial controls, audit-ready workflows, and a reliable month-end close process aligned with accounting standards.
- Work closely with functional leaders to align budgets, track spending, and strengthen decision-making across the business.
- Create backup planning frameworks, including “Plan B” and “Plan C” scenarios, to help the business stay resilient in changing market conditions.
- Act as the central financial source of truth by consolidating, standardizing, and maintaining the company’s financial data and reporting systems.
Requirements
- At least 5–10+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or operational finance, preferably within a high-growth or startup environment.
- Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic finance planning.
- Demonstrated experience handling inventory-intensive or product-led financial operations.
- Advanced ability in Excel or Google Sheets, along with practical experience using ERP or accounting platforms such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Solid accounting background; CPA or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Capability to combine strategic advisory work with practical, hands-on financial execution.
- A systems-oriented mindset with the ability to improve processes, not only outputs.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to question assumptions and influence executive decisions constructively.
- Experience in e-commerce, collectibles, or similar inventory-led sectors is an advantage.
Benefits
- Fully remote, full-time leadership role with a high degree of autonomy.
- The chance to design and establish the finance function from the ground up.
- Direct access to executive leadership and strategic decision-making discussions.
- A high-impact position that influences growth, profitability, and long-term financial health.
- Opportunity to work in a fast-scaling, innovative, consumer-oriented digital environment.
- Competitive compensation aligned with senior leadership responsibilities.
- The ability to put systems, tools, and processes in place that support long-term scalability.
