Head of Finance

Overview

We are partnering with a retail company situated in South Manchester to appoint an experienced Head of Finance. This senior leadership position involves close collaboration with key stakeholders to drive financial excellence within the business.

Key Duties

• Oversee preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, including detailed commentary and presentations for the Board.
• Ensure all statutory financial accounts and regulatory filings comply fully with UK GAAP standards.
• Maintain effective communication with external parties such as auditors, HMRC, banking institutions, and investors.
• Deliver commercial insights and support for the business and the Group CFO.
• Manage and mentor a small finance team to enhance performance and development.
• Lead execution of financial projects and uphold robust financial control frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant with a minimum of ten years of post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated success in a Head of Finance or Finance Director capacity within the retail sector.
• Strong technical expertise combined with leadership and commercial acumen.

Additional Information

This position is based primarily at the company’s office in South Manchester. The compensation package is approximately £85,000 annually, supplemented with additional benefits.
