Head of EU Out-of-Home Delivery

Role Overview

The Head of Out-of-Home (OOH) Network will spearhead the planning and implementation of JD Logistics' (JDL) European OOH strategy encompassing Pick-Up Drop-Off (PUDO) networks, third-party locker systems, and JDL's proprietary locker infrastructure. This position is crucial for ensuring all OOH options provide a cohesive customer experience while enhancing last-mile delivery efficiency, minimizing costs, and aligning with JDL’s overarching logistics goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft and execute a comprehensive OOH strategy across the European markets, ensuring seamless integration of PUDO and locker networks to broaden customer reach, improve operational workflows, and decrease expenses.
• Spot opportunities for expanding the network and driving carrier productivity by identifying innovative OOH solutions and forming strategic partnerships.
• Lead ownership of the European PUDO strategy including roadmap creation, partnership development with retailers and network providers, and refinement of fulfilment and delivery processes.
• Define business needs and oversee the PUDO fulfilment platform’s features, coordinating efforts with Product and IT teams to integrate enhancements.
• Develop the locker network strategy aligned with OOH vision, forge collaborations with external locker providers, set operational standards, and pilot JDL’s own locker technology for growth prospects.
• Manage and align central European OOH teams and country-specific leads, fostering consistent execution of strategy and best practices, while monitoring performance and tackling systemic challenges.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Commercial, Operations, Product, IT, Procurement, Legal, and Customer Service to launch and drive key OOH projects and strategic initiatives throughout Europe.
