Position Overview
The Global Chief Delivery Officer (GCDO) serves as a senior executive accountable for directing the organization's comprehensive global delivery approach, managing enterprise-wide execution, client service excellence, operational performance, project portfolio oversight, customer success, and transformation initiatives. This leader ensures efficient, scalable, and profitable delivery of products, services, and solutions across all international regions, maintaining high customer satisfaction and operational standards.
Key Duties
- Formulate and implement the organization’s international delivery strategy in support of long-range business goals.
- Establish governance structures, operational models, and performance benchmarks for enterprise delivery.
- Lead global teams handling implementation, consulting, managed and professional services, client onboarding, and project execution across regions.
- Ensure projects meet defined costs, timelines, scopes, and quality standards consistently worldwide.
- Work collaboratively with departments such as Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Support to guarantee superior client outcomes and ongoing satisfaction.
- Drive initiatives fostering delivery excellence using methodologies like Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Lean, ITIL, DevOps, and Six Sigma.
- Champion digital transformation efforts utilizing AI, automation, cloud technologies, predictive analytics, and intelligent workflows for enhanced delivery operations.
- Oversee financial aspects including budgets, forecasting, profitability, utilization rates, and resource management tied to global delivery.
- Implement governance frameworks ensuring compliance with contracts, regulations, cybersecurity, quality, and corporate standards.
- Provide executive leadership including coaching, succession planning, and building high-performing leadership teams worldwide.
- Manage strategic vendor and partner relationships and present delivery performance and strategic initiatives to the board and executive committee.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Operations Management, or a related discipline is required.
- An MBA or master’s in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology Management, or Organizational Leadership is highly preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or SAFe are advantageous.
- A minimum of 20 years in executive roles leading global delivery, enterprise operations, consulting, technology services, program management, and digital change initiatives.
- Proven ability to direct multinational delivery operations and manage complex portfolios.
- Expertise in program governance, operational excellence, customer success management, financial oversight, transformation leadership, and risk management.
- Strong strategic, communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and organizational leadership skills.
