Role Mission

As Head of DevOps, you will oversee and advance our infrastructure and platform engineering teams. Your leadership will drive the transformation towards AI-enhanced autonomous operations within the platform lifecycle, encompassing cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and developer tools that support the 1inch ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for DevOps and platform engineering that aligns with company goals and product priorities.
• Lead and mentor the platform engineering team, focusing on recruitment, performance evaluation, career progression, and succession planning.
• Define ownership models, engineering standards, operational workflows, and governance frameworks to foster a culture of responsibility, automation, security, and consistent improvements.
• Manage the architecture and day-to-day operations of cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, networking, storage solutions, and shared platform services, with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and simplification.
• Promote infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, and automation principles, overseeing capacity planning, cost management, technology choices, and vendor relations.
• Integrate Cursor AI and agentic automation across various facets including infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident handling.
• Develop and maintain self-healing infrastructure capabilities that identify anomalies, perform approved remediation actions, validate recovery, and adapt based on outcomes.
• Deliver accessible infrastructure and deployment services with reusable tooling and AI-assisted workflows, tracking agent performance for safety, precision, cost-efficiency, auditability, remediation effectiveness, and reducing manual workload.
• Establish and uphold reliability, observability, and security benchmarks across infrastructure and platform services, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, resilience exercises, incident procedures, access management, encryption, vulnerability mitigation, and supply-chain security.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, and IT to define platform guardrails, risk controls, auditing processes, clear ownership boundaries, and contribute to strategic discussions on platform metrics and investment needs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years in roles such as DevOps, platform or infrastructure engineering, or SRE, with substantial experience managing cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, distributed architectures, and highly available systems.
• At least 3 years leading DevOps or platform teams, with demonstrated expertise introducing AI-enhanced engineering methodologies within technical organizations.
• Proficient with Cursor AI technologies including Cursor Agent, CLI, and Cloud Agents for designing, testing, reviewing, and documenting infrastructure and automation tooling.
• Experience employing Cursor AI alongside Terraform, Kubernetes manifests, policy-as-code, and configuration management while maintaining rigorous testing, peer review, and controlled change procedures.
• Skilled in integrating Cursor CLI or Cloud Agents into CI/CD pipelines for tasks including code review, test generation, configuration validation, security verification, documentation, refactoring, and failure recovery.
• Capability to utilize Cursor AI for analyzing telemetry and operational data, improving runbooks, incident investigations, generating remediation workflows, and building self-healing mechanisms with verification and rollback features.
• Experience coaching engineering teams on Cursor AI workflows and tracking adoption metrics such as delivery lead time, failure rates, automation coverage, operational toil reduction, remediation quality, and developer satisfaction.
• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with blockchain, Web3, or DeFi infrastructure operations.
• Knowledge of LLMOps, MLOps, model evaluation, or orchestration of operational agents.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments, service meshes, event-driven systems, or extensive microservices architectures.
• Expertise in applying FinOps and predictive capacity planning at scale.
• Awareness of standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or relevant cloud/Kubernetes/Terraform/SRE/security/FinOps/AI/ML certifications.
