The Opportunity

Fullscript’s Design organization has expanded with the business, and the company is now hiring a Head of Design to unify that work into a single, standout product experience and to build the design function for the next stage of growth.

This role has significant scope. You will shape how design operates across the company, setting the strategy, standards, and systems that connect every product line. You will also be accountable for the full experience that practitioners and patients have across the platform, ensuring it feels like one integrated ecosystem rather than a set of separate tools.

The position is primarily focused on building scale and organizational strength rather than handling day-to-day production. Even so, the company wants a leader who remains close to the craft: someone who sets a high standard, gives direct critique, and can step in to solve cross-functional design problems when needed. You will sit as a peer within product leadership and act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, including the CPO and CEO.

What You Will Do

• Create the plan for how design scales at Fullscript, including the structures, frameworks, and working models that support growth across a larger platform.
• Design and implement the operating model for the function, including processes, standards, rituals, and AI-supported workflows that improve both quality and speed.
• Define what strong design looks like at Fullscript and use that standard to raise the quality of the team’s work while supporting the growth of individual designers.
• Own the cross-product experience strategy, establish design governance, and ensure products work together as a unified experience.
• Lead talent development, career progression, collaboration approaches, and team culture across product lines.
• Act as a senior design leader who can challenge assumptions, advocate for customers, and influence executive decision-making.

What You Bring

• Proven experience building and scaling design organizations, with strong views on design operations, ways of working, design systems, and AI-enabled design practices.
• Leadership across multi-product platform environments with complex user journeys, including the points where products connect and overlap.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders, push back when needed, and represent the user perspective at the leadership table.
• An AI-first mindset and experience working at scale.
