About SKIMS

SKIMS is a product-led apparel brand focused on modern underwear, loungewear, shapewear, and everyday essentials. The company is known for combining technical innovation, comfort, and refined design to serve a wide range of bodies.

Operating at the crossroads of culture, innovation, and commerce, SKIMS is expanding as a global brand that is reshaping contemporary apparel. Its teams emphasize creativity, collaboration, and strong execution, with a workplace built for ambitious, curious, and values-driven people to do their best work.

As the business grows internationally, HQ functions are central to setting direction, strengthening infrastructure, and supporting long-term, sustainable growth across markets.

Role Overview

The Head of Creative Production will take ownership of production from start to finish. This senior leadership position connects creative ambition with operational delivery, ensuring that ideas are executed efficiently and at a high standard.

You will work closely with the Creative and Brand teams to deliver campaigns, editorial work, e-commerce assets, video, and social content, including the company’s collaboration with Nike. In this role, you will manage producers and coordinators, coordinate a broad network of outside partners, and create production systems that support high-quality output without slowing the pace of the business.

Key Responsibilities

The role spans production leadership, creative partnership, collaboration on the NikeSkims project, workflow improvement, and compliance oversight.

  • Direct the entire production process for photo, video, digital campaigns, and e-commerce content, from the initial brief through final handoff.
  • Own e-commerce production end to end, with a focus on reliable delivery, quality control, and operational efficiency that matches the brand’s fast product cycle.
  • Lead, coach, and grow an internal production team, while determining when to use outside production partners, studios, and vendors.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with photographers, directors, stylists, post-production teams, and other key creative suppliers.
  • Handle talent and location planning for major campaign shoots, including celebrity and athlete bookings that involve complex timing and contractual needs.
  • Work closely with Creative and Brand leaders from concept development through delivery, serving as the operational anchor that turns ambitious ideas into executable plans.
  • Ensure that every asset produced, whether a major campaign or quick-turn social content, aligns with the SKIMS look and brand expectations.
  • Support creative leadership with resource planning, production assessments, and decisions that help shape the brand’s visual direction through production choices.
  • Act as the primary production lead for NikeSkims and manage all campaign and content production tied to the collaboration.
  • Build a productive, trust-based relationship with Nike’s creative and production teams, approaching the partnership with professionalism, clarity, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Navigate the specific approvals, workflows, and operational demands of a co-branded partnership while protecting both brands’ standards, deadlines, and creative intent.
  • Coordinate processes, timelines, and deliverable requirements with Nike counterparts, keeping communication proactive and collaborative.
  • Represent SKIMS consistently and professionally at every stage of the partnership, including planning, shoot execution, and final asset delivery.
  • Review and improve production workflows continuously, identifying friction points, testing new approaches, and building scalable systems across all content formats.
  • Develop and manage production budgets across creative workstreams, with disciplined tracking and strategic allocation of resources.
  • Partner with marketing, creative, and brand stakeholders to build timelines that protect the work creatively while still meeting aggressive launch schedules.
  • Make sure all productions follow California labor law, including proper crew classification, pay and hour standards, and safe on-set working conditions.
  • Serve as the main production contact for Legal, escalating risks early and ensuring contracts, releases, and usage rights are comprehensive and enforceable.
  • Oversee SAG-AFTRA compliance when union talent is involved, including signatory requirements, session fees, residual tracking, and adherence to union set rules.

Experience and Skills

The position calls for deep creative production expertise, strong leadership ability, and comfort navigating complex, high-profile work.

  • 10 or more years of experience in creative production, including at least 3 to 4 years in a leadership capacity; experience in fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brands is highly preferred.
  • Proven success producing prominent campaigns that include celebrity or athlete talent.
  • Strong command of both large-scale editorial or campaign production and fast-moving e-commerce and digital production.
  • Experience with co-branded or licensed partnerships, along with the interpersonal skill to work effectively across companies, especially with large and structured brand partners.
  • Practical understanding of California labor law as it relates to commercial and fashion production, plus hands-on experience with SAG-AFTRA agreements.
  • Experience working with Legal on contracts, talent agreements, and risk control.
  • Excellent budgeting capability, including building budgets from the ground up, managing them in real time, and finding savings without lowering quality.
  • Strong network across the Los Angeles and New York production communities, including photographers, directors, casting, post-production, and studios.
  • A steady, solutions-oriented presence under pressure, with the ability to recover quickly when shoots face unexpected issues.
  • A builder mindset, with a constant focus on improving how production is done rather than accepting existing processes as final.

Why This Role Stands Out

This is not a hands-off process role. SKIMS operates quickly, maintains high standards, and produces work designed to stand out culturally. The position offers meaningful creative partnership, the resources to execute at scale, and the opportunity to help build lasting systems at a highly visible brand. It also provides direct exposure to one of the most anticipated collaborations in fashion and sport.

Benefits and Perks

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage paid by the company up to 100%.
  • Kindbody fertility support.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching of up to 4%.
