About the Role
A skincare and personal care brand is seeking a Head of Content to lead its organic content presence. This position calls for someone who can both create engaging short-form videos and shape the overall content direction for the brand. The right person will combine a strong creative eye with a structured, process-driven approach to building a reliable content system.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead organic social efforts across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging platforms.
- Handle the full content lifecycle, including idea development, filming, editing, and posting short-form videos with a strong understanding of hooks, storytelling, and trends.
- Develop viral content ideas by spotting cultural momentum and adapting it to the brand’s voice.
- Manage content planning, publishing schedules, calendar upkeep, and platform-specific optimization.
- Work with creators and collaborators to broaden reach and introduce new content perspectives.
- Engage with the community by understanding audience behavior and creating content that strengthens brand connection.
- Build repeatable systems, workflows, and templates that support consistent output without compromising quality.
- Track organic performance and use data insights to guide creative choices and channel priorities.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has substantial experience in social media content creation or content strategy and has previously grown channels they directly managed. They should be highly capable in short-form video production, with examples of content that performed well. Strong familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts is important, including how each platform’s culture, formats, and algorithms work.
This role also requires someone who is comfortable both on camera and behind the camera, and who has a strong instinct for pacing, storytelling, and retention. You should be able to switch between hands-on execution and higher-level planning, including producing content and presenting a broader roadmap. Strong organization is essential, since the role involves managing calendars, collaborators, and multiple priorities at once. Experience in beauty, skincare, or wellness content is a plus, as is an existing audience or the ability to grow one.
