Head of Communications

About the Role

Gold & Aron, an executive search firm, is representing a rapidly expanding AI foundation model innovator that specializes in real-time voice and audio intelligence architectures. This client has successfully raised over $200 million and is currently seeking a Head of Communications. This key leader will refine and articulate the company’s global vision and foster trust across the AI industry landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the CEO, CMO, and executive leadership on devising the corporate communication strategy.
• Direct communications for major product launches, model disclosures, and significant organizational milestones.
• Discover and develop stories from within research, engineering, and product teams, transforming technical findings into engaging narratives.
• Oversee both proactive and reactive media engagements while crafting the executive presence for keynotes, briefings, and social media platforms.
• Create streamlined communication workflows to enable cross-department collaboration without cumbersome bureaucracy.
• Incorporate and utilize contemporary AI tools daily to uphold an AI-first culture in communication operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Possesses at least eight years of experience in communications, including leadership roles in corporate communications or public relations within tech companies or agencies.
• Demonstrates a proven record of designing communication strategies that have tangibly enhanced an organization's reputation or market standing.
• Exhibits strong instincts for new media storytelling, capable of engaging with technical teams to distill insights for diverse audiences.
• Maintains robust media networks and exercises sound judgment in story pitching and managing sensitive scenarios.
• Adopts a builder’s mentality, comfortable navigating ambiguity and dynamic environments characterized by rapidly evolving narratives and deadlines.
• Embraces an AI-first approach, adept at deploying new models and tools, creating AI agents, and continuously advancing technological possibilities.

Preference for candidates based in San Francisco or New York, with consideration given to remote applicants residing in the United States.
