Role overview
This is a full-time, permanent leadership opportunity based in Cardiff, where you will take charge of B2B growth for a multi-accredited training and examinations provider. The position offers a salary of £40,112 to £44,850 (Level 7–8) plus uncapped on-target earnings, with a working week of 37.5 hours. You will report directly to the Group CEO.
The role is designed for a driven mid-career B2B sales professional who is ready to move into a senior position. Your initial focus will be building market share across Wales and the West of England, while also creating and pursuing international commercial opportunities with the autonomy to shape broader growth plans.
You will lead the business development function with responsibility for aligning sales and marketing activity, strengthening client acquisition, and building lasting partnerships. The role combines strategy, people leadership, and hands-on commercial execution.
Key responsibilities
Your work will centre on accelerating the company’s B2B expansion and supporting the wider commercial strategy.
- Take ownership of B2B growth across Wales and the West of England, while also identifying and converting overseas commercial opportunities.
- Guide and develop a small, agile team made up of sales professionals, managed through the Sales Manager, together with a Marketing Executive.
- Partner closely with the Operations team to deliver a smooth and high-quality onboarding journey for business clients in different markets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term commercial relationships with organisations in the UK and abroad.
