Job description

About PinkHoney

PinkHoney launched five years ago on TikTok and quickly became one of the fastest-growing beauty brands in the UK. Since then, it has established a strong community, a skilled internal team, and ambitious plans for future growth.

Role Overview

This position is not a conventional social media manager role. You will be expected to take a step back, grasp the broad picture, and craft strategies that integrate content, product launches, PR, and campaigns into cohesive, effective marketing efforts. Reporting directly to the founder, you will translate business priorities into marketing strategies that engage the audience, drive sales, and nurture brand loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction for organic marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the social media team to decide topics and campaign approaches.
  • Set goals for marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency, excitement, and commercial effectiveness across channels.
  • Develop quarterly marketing and social media strategies focused on launches and seasonal opportunities.
  • Work with warehouse, operations, and buying teams to understand stock details, best sellers, slow-moving products, and upcoming releases, aligning marketing efforts accordingly.
  • Plan creative content themes and campaigns, including briefing or creating visual concepts such as thumbnails and covers.
  • Review and enhance the quality of creative outputs before publication.
  • Identify and pursue growth avenues beyond social media, such as refining PR strategies, strengthening influencer partnerships, expanding user-generated content, exploring new platforms, and addressing marketing gaps.
  • Provide strategic leadership by setting quarterly priorities, guiding planning sessions, offering creative feedback, and fostering team improvements. Note: this role focuses on strategic leadership rather than day-to-day people management.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in brand, content, or marketing strategy roles.
  • Experience within ecommerce, beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
  • A commercial and creative mindset with a clear understanding of marketing’s impact on revenue, not just engagement metrics.
  • Strong ability to convert data and insights into innovative ideas.
  • Excellent visual judgment and knowledge of what makes content distinctive.
  • Ability to collaborate confidently with multiple departments.
  • Fondness for building sustainable marketing systems rather than merely maintaining existing ones.
  • Natural curiosity and a persistent drive to improve processes and outcomes.

Success Metrics for the First Year

  • Develops a transparent, business-aligned quarterly marketing strategy.
  • Enhances the commercial effectiveness of social channels.
  • Implements structured planning for product launches and campaigns.
  • Improves cooperation among social, PR, influencer marketing, and operations teams.
  • Elevates the quality and consistency of creative marketing materials.
  • Enables the founder to focus on broader company priorities while maintaining the brand's distinctive voice and personality.

Ideal Work Environment

A fast-paced, innovative setting where ideas are rapidly turned into tangible outcomes. The role suits someone who prefers to build new initiatives instead of just maintaining existing ones, proactively spotting challenges and devising solutions, and comfortable working across all aspects of the business.
