Hilo by Aktiia is working to reduce the harm caused by high blood pressure, a condition responsible for millions of deaths every year. The company’s purpose is to create technology that helps people manage blood pressure more effectively.
Backed by venture funding of more than $96M, the company’s product is based on 18 years of research at the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM). It is the only medically accurate cuffless monitor for continuous blood pressure tracking in daily life. The device is CE Marked as a Class IIa medical device and was cleared by the FDA in 2026 as the first cuffless over-the-counter blood pressure monitor in the United States. The company operates remotely first and is headquartered in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
Role Overview
As Head of B2B for Hilo Professional, you will take ownership of one of the company’s key growth areas and scale it into a repeatable commercial business.
You will be responsible for building the commercial structure behind Hilo Professional, growing revenue, creating strategic partnerships, and defining how healthcare professionals and organisations across Europe work with Hilo.
The role begins with an existing base of activity, including a live pipeline, an activation framework, and several ongoing opportunities. Your task is to turn that foundation into a predictable and scalable revenue engine.
This is a high-impact position with frequent exposure to the leadership team and strong influence on the company’s future direction.
Location: Germany or the UK preferred, with remote work available anywhere in Europe.
Travel: Regular travel is required for customer meetings, events, conferences, and company gatherings.
Core Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of Hilo Professional, including strategy, commercial growth, partnerships, and execution.
- Put in place the systems, cadence, and reporting required to make the business scalable and predictable.
- Set up commercial processes, forecasting methods, and performance tracking.
- As the function expands, hire and lead the team around you, beginning with customer success and partner management.
- Manage an active pipeline and strategic opportunities already underway.
- Identify, prioritise, and close valuable partnerships across healthcare professionals, pharmacies, healthcare systems, payers, wholesalers, and other channels.
- Own commercial goals and revenue delivery.
- Shape pricing, account prioritisation, and commercial decisions within agreed boundaries.
- Design and scale programmes that move healthcare professionals from awareness to active recommendation of Hilo.
- Create measurable activation metrics and monitoring dashboards.
- Build a scalable model for engagement, onboarding, and long-term advocacy.
- Work closely with Product, Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Finance, Customer Service, Marketing, and PR teams.
- Convert customer and market insight into product and business opportunities.
- Use medical and scientific knowledge to maintain credibility and compliance in all commercial work.
Requirements
Essential
- Substantial experience creating and scaling B2B commercial functions in MedTech, Digital Health, Healthcare, Pharma, Diagnostics, or another regulated environment.
- Proven success in owning commercial targets and closing complex deals with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience selling to healthcare systems, providers, professionals, payers, or related healthcare channels.
- Ability to build a function from the ground up rather than simply manage an existing one.
- An entrepreneurial, hands-on approach suited to a fast-moving scale-up.
- Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
- Comfort working in regulated healthcare settings.
Strong Advantage
- Experience selling into the NHS or similar healthcare systems.
- Experience working with German healthcare organisations, Krankenkassen, pharmacies, or healthcare networks.
- A pre-existing network of healthcare providers, payers, researchers, or key opinion leaders.
- Commercial background in blood pressure, cardiovascular health, chronic disease management, or adjacent areas.
- German language ability.
- Experience using AI to improve commercial performance, research, workflows, or customer engagement.
