Overview
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an experienced leader to oversee and develop its Audiology Service, ensuring delivery of patient-focused, high-quality care. This role involves transitioning the outsourced Audiology functions into an in-house service and spearheading innovation to enhance patient outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full leadership and management responsibility for the Audiology Service, guaranteeing safe, effective, and quality care provision.
- Guide the planning, development, and daily operation of Audiology services aligned with patient and Trust needs.
- Monitor service performance against targets like DM01 and waiting times, and drive improvements in activity metrics.
- Analyze performance data to discover enhancements in patient accessibility, efficiency, and healthcare outcomes.
- Serve as the professional clinical lead across diagnostic and rehabilitative Audiology services within the Trust.
- Ensure compliance with national guidelines, clinical governance standards, and professional best practices.
- Manage financial aspects including budget oversight, resource allocation, and workforce planning to maximize value while maintaining care standards.
- Develop and support the Audiology workforce, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Maintain own professional expertise and contribute to elevating clinical standards throughout the service.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to facilitate service transformation and innovation.
- Ensure adherence to Trust policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements consistently.
Professional and Personal Qualifications
- Essential: MSc in Audiology or Healthcare Science, professional registration, and leadership or managerial training.
- Desirable: Doctorate qualification, driving license, healthcare finance credential.
Experience
- Essential: Extensive post-qualification experience including diagnostic, rehabilitative, and Audiology equipment troubleshooting.
- Desirable: Experience in vestibular rehabilitation, research involvement, familiarity with Epic system and configuration.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong capability to lead and manage change initiatives effectively.
- Advanced skills in planning and organizational management.
- Competence in financial monitoring, quality assurance, and operational oversight.
- Preferred: Excellent problem-solving, NHS infrastructure understanding, and exemplary change management leadership.
