EIT RawMaterials drives innovation and sustainability in Europe's raw materials sector, collaborating with over 300 industry, academic, and research partners to secure Europe's future supply of essential minerals and metals.
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Head of Academies to lead operationally the European Raw Materials Academy and the European Advanced Materials Academy. These programs aim to develop the talent and skills essential for Europe's competitiveness and industrial transformation in raw and advanced materials industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate strategic priorities into operational plans, ensuring delivery within set budgets, timelines, KPIs, quality, and compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain efficient operational processes, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Academies.
- Lead and enhance the Academies' digital learning platforms and ecosystem to support strategic educational goals and learner growth.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team of about 20 employees through direct supervision of three Senior Education Managers responsible for Operations, Course Development, and Partnerships.
- Oversee operational budgets, supplier relationships, and procurement, ensuring efficient, compliant resource usage.
- Track and report Academy performance metrics, assess risks and opportunities, and propose improvements.
- Maintain effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to align efforts and support sustainable growth.
Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership experience in professional learning, education, or workforce development programs.
- Track record of successfully scaling digital education or EdTech initiatives.
- Strong operational leadership and program management skills, including familiarity with digital learning platforms and LMS.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and achieving challenging KPIs.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Desirable: Background in EdTech, corporate L&D, experience with EU projects (Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, EIT), understanding of certification and micro-credentials, and knowledge of additional European languages.
