Position Overview
This announcement serves as a public notice to inform potential candidates about upcoming job openings at the Defense Industrial Base and Major Range/Test Facilities DHA. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of hazardous property storage areas to verify accurate accounting, identification, and safe storage of materials, including overpacking of deteriorated containers when necessary.
- Manage diverse hazardous waste and materials comprising solid, liquid, gaseous, flammable, corrosive, reactive, and toxic substances.
- Perform visual tank inspections and manual cleaning using various tools to remove corrosive cleaning agents.
- Execute start-up procedures on equipment ranging from individual glove boxes to large aircraft paint booths.
- Carry out testing, sampling, stabilization, and neutralization processes for various waste and materials as needed.
- Interpret and apply regulatory guidelines including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is from 24.98 to 29.13 per hour.
