Overview

GEG Gruppe is looking for a reliable caretaker for its Mainz location. The role is based on site and involves day-to-day property upkeep, basic repair work, and support for tenants, customers, and service providers.

Work schedule and pay

The position is based in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 08:00, and Friday from 08:00 for 5.5 hours. The weekly working time is 37.5 hours. Compensation is €18.40 per hour.

What you will do

• Carry out small repair jobs as needed.
• Replace light bulbs and other simple fixtures.
• Inspect and maintain the building and technical systems.
• Keep outdoor areas clean and well maintained.
• Handle winter services when required.
• Serve as the local contact for tenants, customers, and external service providers.

What you should bring

• Practical hands-on ability and a solid technical understanding.
• An independent, dependable way of working.
• A proactive mindset with the willingness to notice tasks and take action.
• A valid driving licence and access to your own car.
• German language skills are an advantage.
• Motivated career changers with manual skills are also welcome.
