Role Overview
This Christchurch-based position supports stakeholders across New Zealand's South Island, involving some travel. As the region's technical lead, you will ensure the health of existing installations, assist partners in selling and supporting our full product range, and maximize value for customers invested in Gallagher solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and review the South Island system estate, conducting proactive site health assessments to keep systems secure, up-to-date, and optimized.
- Develop partner capabilities by coaching and enabling channel partners to design comprehensive platform solutions that boost their success and customer satisfaction.
- Provide expert technical sales support, including impactful product demonstrations, tender responses, and pre-sales consultations to identify and unlock sales opportunities.
- Offer both on-site and remote technical advice, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and support during product migrations to keep partners skilled and customers content.
- Collaborate with sales teams to promote advanced security systems tailored to government, tertiary, and corporate sectors through system design, presentations, commissioning, and certification.
- Coordinate and enhance technical services aligned with Gallagher's strategic objectives and regional needs.
- Maintain technical documentation and records in accordance with company standards, reporting regional insights to the broader Technical Support Service team.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Gallagher Security products and a robust understanding of electronic security systems. This home-based role requires a professional home office setup located in New Zealand's South Island.
- Demonstrates a consultative and proactive approach, anticipating customer needs beyond immediate issues.
- Strong collaborator who thrives in close-knit team environments.
- Over five years of experience working with electronic security systems.
- Experience in project management or practical installation within security systems.
- Solid understanding of networked IT infrastructure relevant to the security sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical principles and system functionality.
- Experience preparing tenders and engaging in procurement processes.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and teamwork skills.
