The role focuses on building robust hardware asset frameworks, strengthening compliance and reporting, and improving lifecycle control across procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and disposal.
Role overview
You will bring more than 8 years of practical experience in hardware asset management, with strong exposure to process design, implementation, and operational support. The work involves enterprise-wide governance, lifecycle management, tooling, and process improvement for IT hardware assets.
Key responsibilities
- Build and deploy end-to-end hardware asset management frameworks aligned with ITIL and ISO 19770 standards.
- Create lifecycle processes covering procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and disposal.
- Set up governance structures, policy controls, and compliance measures for hardware assets.
- Design CMDB and asset data models while maintaining data quality, accuracy, and normalization.
- Lead implementation and integration of HAM tools in both greenfield and brownfield environments.
- Work with platforms such as ServiceNow HAM Pro, SCCM/Intune, Flexera, or similar solutions.
- Develop strategies for discovery, reconciliation, normalization, and automation of asset workflows.
- Integrate hardware asset management with procurement, finance, and ITSM systems.
- Run day-to-day HAM operations and provide support for asset management activities.
- Maintain real-time visibility of assets and inventory accuracy across all locations.
- Track policy adherence, regulatory compliance, audits, reporting, and governance reviews.
- Support incident and problem resolution tied to asset discrepancies.
- Oversee lifecycle planning, refresh cycles, warranty tracking, vendor coordination, and contract compliance.
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost through reuse, redeployment, and rationalization.
- Prepare dashboards, MIS reports, KPIs, and management reporting on utilization, compliance, and risk.
- Collaborate closely with IT, procurement, finance, audit, and other stakeholders for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience focused specifically on hardware asset management.
- Strong background in the design, implementation, and operational support of HAM solutions.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM Pro, or comparable asset management platforms.
- Solid knowledge of CMDBs, discovery tools, and asset reconciliation workflows.
- Working understanding of ITIL processes such as incident, change, and configuration management.
- Experience handling audits, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical ability and confidence working with asset data and reporting.
- Preferred certifications include ITIL Foundation or Intermediate, ServiceNow HAM/ITAM certifications, and ISO 19770.
