Hand Line Pasty Crimper – 4 Days/Week

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Hand Line Pasty Crimper to join our Bodmin-based team. This role involves producing traditional hand-crimped Cornish pasties with precision and care. The work schedule consists of 4 days per week, from 06:00 to 16:00, with one rotating day off from Monday to Friday. Each shift includes two unpaid 30-minute breaks.

Key Duties

• Efficiently produce up to 4 pasties per minute, depending on size.
• Handle pre-filled pastry bases by folding and distributing filling, followed by hand-crimping edges with 18 to 22 meticulous folds.
• Maintain high quality and consistency by monitoring products throughout the production line.
• Choose to sit or stand during shifts, and enjoy a flexible atmosphere whether socializing or focusing quietly.
• Receive guidance and support from an assigned team leader.
• Adhere to hygiene standards, including maintaining short and clean nails.

Training and Certification

No prior experience is required as thorough training will be provided, enabling you to become confident in your crimping skills. During your probation period, you will earn certifications in Food Safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2.

Compensation

The hourly wage is £13.55 for standard hours. For any work between 20:00 and 06:00 or exceeding 37.5 hours per week, an enhanced rate of £16.94 per hour applies.
