Role Overview
The Hair Transplantation Technician position is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate. The technician assists with hair transplant surgeries by preparing the operating room, organizing surgical instruments, and enforcing sterilization and safety protocols. Daily responsibilities include aiding the physician during graft extraction and implantation, dissecting and categorizing follicular units using magnification, and accurately documenting graft counts. The role also entails preparing patients for procedures, delivering clear instructions before and after surgery, monitoring patient comfort, and promptly reporting any concerns to the overseeing physician. Team collaboration, adherence to prescribed protocols, and participation in ongoing professional development are essential.
Qualifications
- Proven technical competence in clinical assistance, including handling instruments, maintaining sterile conditions, and performing meticulous manual tasks under magnification.
- Capacity to adhere to medical protocols, maintain precise records, and support physicians effectively during transplant procedures.
- Strong skills in patient care: clear communication, empathy, and support throughout the surgical process.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills for managing multiple responsibilities, preparing procedural rooms, and facilitating smooth workflow.
- Previous experience in hair transplantation, dermatology, cosmetic surgery or related clinical fields is considered a significant advantage.
- Relevant healthcare or technical qualifications (such as nursing assistant, medical technician, or specialized hair transplant training) preferred.
- Dedication to infection control, quality assurance standards, and ongoing learning in hair restoration techniques.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional regional languages is beneficial.
