Batterjee Medical College is looking for a dedicated First Aid Specialist to support the health and wellbeing of our diverse community. Key Objectives
- Extend immediate first aid and basic healthcare support to anyone on campus who sustains injuries or suffers acute health concerns.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment by adhering to all relevant national and local healthcare regulations.
- Promote healthy habits and general wellness across students and staff through ongoing programs and education.
- Conduct awareness sessions and consult with parents, faculty, and administrators to address health-related concerns.
- Create individualized health plans for students with unique medical needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver first aid treatment, provide relevant medications, and administer healthcare interventions when necessary.
- Refer students or staff to specialized healthcare professionals as appropriate.
- Securely maintain comprehensive medical records and documentation for students, particularly those with chronic conditions.
- Design and implement routine, emergency, and specialized health management procedures and protocols.
- Deliver targeted health education on topics like personal hygiene and preventative care to foster lasting wellness practices.
Essential Requirements
- Strong skills in interpersonal communication and collaborative consultation.
- Enthusiasm for working with students and a genuine interest in their wellbeing.
- Thorough understanding of current healthcare regulations at the national and local levels.
- Ability to remain composed, assess situations, and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Comprehensive knowledge of physical and mental health issues, with strong listening and patience skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a closely related healthcare discipline.
- Valid nursing or recognized first aid certification.
- Possession of a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American or Saudi Heart Association.
- Proficiency in multitasking and excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrable empathy and compassion in patient interaction.
